Hutchinson, CFP, Principal Heather began a career in financial services in 1993, and has worked in the Asset Management division of Equitable Real Estate Investment Management, Inc., the Mutual Funds department of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., and prior to starting H & Z, as a Portfolio Manager with Bingham, Osborn & Scarborough, a wealth management firm in San Francisco. She earned the Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2000, and has presented various financial and investment related topics on CNN-FN Television, KBZS radio, and to the California Society of CPAs. Heather is an active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), and formerly sat on the board of directors of the San Francisco chapter of the FPA. While on the San Francisco FPA Board, Heather served as chairperson of the chapter's Pro Bono Committee, whose mission is to foster pro bono financial planning for low-income families. She is also a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Eric J. Ziegler, Principal Eric joined H & Z as a partner in 2007, and has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry. His most recent position has been as a consultant to Charles Schwab & Co., within their Financial Products Group. Eric had worked for Schwab from 1990 through 2000 in the Mutual Fund Operations and Asset Management Strategic Alliances departments; he left Schwab in 2000 to pursue additional interests. Since then, he has established and managed a computer systems administration firm called Streamline Systems, and worked as a Compliance Examiner for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), auditing registered investment advisory firms similar to H & Z. Eric graduated with a BS in Economics from San Francisco State University in 1989. He has held the Series 7 and 63 security licenses, and is currently enrolled in the UC Berkeley Extension Personal Financial Planning certification program, with the ultimate goal of obtaining Certified Financial PlannerTM designation.
